What we provide at the studio with your baby

As a new parent, you have enough to worry about without wondering if your baby is safe while you’re in class. We take every precaution to ensure that our studio is a safe and welcoming environment for your little one. Here’s what we provide at the studio with your baby:

A clean and clutter-free space: We make sure that our studio is clean and free of any potential hazards before each class. This includes sweeping and mopping the floors, wiping down surfaces, and laundering all of the props.

A comfortable place to sleep: We have a dedicated nap space for babies who need to catch some extra ZZZs. This area is always kept clean and tidy, with fresh sheets and blankets for each class.

A private nursing area: If you need to breastfeed or pump during class, we have a private area where you can do so comfortably. This area is stocked with water, snacks, and all the other essentials you might need.

A safe place to play: We have a variety of toys and activities for babies to enjoy while they’re at the studio. These are always age-appropriate and carefully chosen to be safe for little ones.

What can I expect during a newborn photography session?

When you arrive for your newborn session, we will have everything set up and ready to go! Before the session, when you booked, We will ask you to fill out a short questionnaire so that we can best understand your vision for the session.

We will start with a feeding and a changing so baby can get nice and comfortable. After the baby us nice and settled, we will begin the session! This usually lasts 2-2.5 hours, although it can sometimes run longer depending on how cooperative your little one is.

We will start with some wrapped poses of your baby so that baby has a chance to get comfortable with me and I can learn how they react to stimuli and how they can calm themselves down. It is really a communication period between me and the baby. These are typically done with baby being propped up on a beanbag or other surface, in simple baskets and several fun props. We will then move on to some shots of baby sleeping.

For these shots, we carefully position baby in a variety of positions and use special lighting and props to create beautiful images. We always make sure that baby is comfortable and safe during the entire process.

At the end of the session, we will photograph the family photos. During the family photos, it is all about the love and connection of your new little family. I usually photograph both parents, then 1 parent and then the other with baby. I make sure to have lots of options for your beautiful gallery.

As you can see, we take great care in preparing the studio for your newest arrival. We want to make sure that everything is clean and safe so that you can focus on enjoying your new baby. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We would be more than happy to chat with you about how we can help make your newborn photography experience the best it can be!
